The month of September is another month of dividend income landing in my accounts. This money is used to help pay my expenses if it is needed. If the money is not needed, it is ALL used to purchase new investments to further increase my cash flow.
The price of a barrel of crude oil is still a major focus of the markets and the economy. Some analysts are predicting the WTI price of a barrel of crude oil to remain between $40 to $55 for the next year. At the same time, other analyst are predicting the WTI price for a barrel of crude oil to be around $80.00 a barrel. None of us are able to say where the price of oil is going to be by the end of this year or at the end of the next few years.
The Chinese markets continue to affect our markets along with the low oil prices. Also, in North America, the interests rates have not been raised is a very long time. If the FED raises interest rates then this will likely effect all countries as it shows the United States are slowing their economy and making it more expensive to borrow money.

I will update my dividend income tab with the new amount. It is great to see money from passive income sources deposited into my brokerage account every single month.

I sometimes sell a put option as a way to collect income from time to time. If stock ABC is trading at say $45 dollars and I am a buyer a $44.00, I can sell a put option to collect premium instead of just waiting for the stock to go down to fill a limit order.
Nice growth Pursuits! Our September dividend payout was nice, and the cash flow has grown year after year. I'm optimistic that we'll have lower prices in the near future. Keep up the great work and have a good week!

Bryan,
DeleteThanks for dropping by. One of the reasons that the YOY decrease was Enerplus reduced its dividend for $0.09 per month to $0.05 per month. Enerplus is an oil and gas producer.
I welcome lower prices especially in the accumulating phase as it means the money will work harder as the yield is higher.
Nice payout for September. It's great to get consistent monthly dividends, especially when the market is rocky.
ReplyDeleteInvesting Hunting,
DeleteThanks for dropping by. I love the monthly dividends as it gives more "firepower" to invest as their is more cash available on a consistent basis.
Thanks for sharing your dividend income with us. Always nice to see some great results even if you didn't have any year over year growth. It's to be expected at some times. Some great names I recognize and see in other Canadian portfolios but a few that I have no idea what they are. Keep building that snowball!
ReplyDeleteDivHut,
DeleteThanks for dropping by. I own a lot of shares in Enerplus, which is a oil and gas producer. Enerplus has reduced their monthly payout from $0.09 to $0.05 per share therefore being the main reason why a decrease YOY.
Great to see a fellow Canuck building his dreams through investing. Keep up the good work, it's well worth it in the end when you punch out of work at a youngish age. I have never met anyone at their end stage of life who said "I wish I would have spent more years at work and less time with my family"
ReplyDeleteMoneyoryourtime,
DeleteThanks for dropping by. I won't be able to punch out of work at a youngish age, as I started my journey in 2010. I was about 35 at this time. But I am marching along on this journey and very thankful for all the dividends that are deposited into my accounts.
Awesome IP. Keep it up bud! You're ripping it up! Thanks for sharing and thanks for the post. Slowly and surely, the trend is moving nicely upwards.
ReplyDeleteKeep hustling hard and investing your loot bud.
Cheers.
Dividend Hustler,
DeleteI plan on keep investing. I am willing to live like no one else so later I can live like no one else.
