COVID19 is still the major topic in the news. Although some provinces and states are opening up or relaxing restrictions, we are still in the pandemic. More and more people are getting vaccinated. In Alberta (province in Canada) , the premier announced a lottery consisting of 3 $1,000,000 dollar prizes to encourage people to get vaccinated. This past week, the premier of Alberta announced that Alberta will lift all restrictions on July 1 as conditions of been made allowing to the move of stage 3. As of June 20, the cities of Edmonton and Calgary have not made a decision yet on if they will end there mask bylaws.
In May, I received my first dividend from my new shares of Emera, that I purchased a few months ago.
Let's get to the list of dividend income from some Canadian bloggers for May 2021. Of course, I first want to mention my own dividend income report.
Moneymaaster received $502.39 in dividend income for month of May 2021. Lots of new shares via DRIP that will increase forward dividend income without any extra work.
Our Life Financial received $1155.03 in dividend income for the month of May 2021. A few new purchases made during the month mentioned in the post.
Reverse The Crush had 2.5% year over year growth by receiving $42.66 in dividend income for May 2021. Reverse The Crush also mentions his portfolio transactions for May 2021.
Passive Canadian Income had over 4.2% growth year over year in receiving $1187.61 in passive income for the month of May 2021. The amount of dividend income was $314.11.
All About The Dividends received $401.49 for the month of May 2021. The RRSP lead the way in May He also mentions is transactions for May 2021.
My Own Advisor doesn't disclose how much dividend income made during May, but tells us his forward dividend income $21803.00 for this calendar year as of the time of writing his post.
Conclusion:
We all started with $0.00 of passive income and have grown our investments over time. Each "BUY" transaction can provide ongoing dividend income which may also be increased over time.
In Canada and the United States, many brokerage accounts offer commission free trades and/or commission free ETFs. You can get started on your investing journey with very little money.
